If you think it, it will happen. It didn't happen like we hoped it would happen though.
After watching the ladies get dirty in the mud before us we knew there'd be some ball handling difficulties. But all in all we han dled that aspect better than expected. Well, better than Sumner anyway. Poodle and others had a bit of a kicking duel with their seaside counterparts which taxed the referees knowledge of the offside rule and the ten metre circle rule. And the 90 degree scrummaging rule and the forward pass rule and a multitude of others. At least he kept us on our toes even if we did lose a few penalties by arguing with him.
With being 7-3 up at half time we knew we had a struggle to keep Sumner from scoring which we did until the last minute of the game. With their kicker missing a relatively easy conversion and the score at 7-8, we were feeling the pressure at the restart. Our pressure, however, on Sumner was good enough and strong enough to have us be awarded a penalty which Chilli slotted with precision at the death of the match.
So with possum sculls and jug drinking and gay banter, we watched the rugby on tv then proceeded to support our inner city sponsor buy purchasing some ales from him.
Good Times.

The call was made. And most responded to getting to the game 30 minutes earlier than usual. Three weeks ago we had passion. Two weeks ago were were arrogant in our recent win. Last week we all slept in. This week we needed to focus. Due to Phil and the coaching staff, we did just that. And it brought us out on top. We've always know that to win rugby requires the top 6 inches of your head. Now we've just proved it to ourselves.
The backs, the forwards, the reserves and even Boner from the sideline gave it their all and simply played simply. Play the game our way, at our pace to our strengths and the winning is ours for the taking.
I'm not going to single anyone out for special mention as 100% of the team gave 100%, but the Player of the day, that Johnno fella. By crikey he had a fucking good game.
