The Kumara pub has traditionally been one of our stops on the way over to the Kokatahi, but it looks like from reading this article here ( http://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/news/west-coast/2779620/Police-sought-to-help-keep-Kumara-alive ) that the pub lost it's licence back in June.

"the town, whose only pub lost its licence in June because of the misbehaviour of local drinkers."

Do you see now why we bring beer with us? You never know when a pub may be gone. It seems only yesterday the Greyhound pub was still there and then one day burnt to the ground.

Don't forget this Thursday 6-00pm at Keastys to confirm you are travelling with us to Kokatahi. Let's round off the season as we started, with a winning combination and good times.

If you want to check the weather forecast for Hokitika, check here.

Well, we did it again boys. Our previous record of using 51 players during a single season has been well and truely broken.
In 2009 we used the mighty number of 64 players to help us come second to last in the grade.

First column is alphabetical with number of games this season, the second is numerically ordered.

I know we're a little bit disappointed in the result from today's game, but we'll get over it, eventually. One thing, however, pisses me off about it and it's not the fact that we lost to Marist (and their false God) but that they get to play those smug bastads Sumner in the final. I hate their seaside smugness. I'm allowed to be bitter. I'm old and grumpy and have a midori and baileys headache.

Highlights of today's game for me was the guts Mike, Mike, Jamie and Brodie put in; Deano getting his tags out; Uli getting knocked out by Gulls; Gulls knocking out Uli; Hayden; Leyts under the high ball; Trouty's aftermatch speech; Poacher and his ability to burst through a backline and, of course, Mum for being there once again.

It's been a 50/50 season, or more correctly, a 8/9 or a 47% / 53% season. But still an enjoyable one for those that turn up to training and to the games. Naturally we would have had more selection choices if more Keiths shoulded up on Saturdays, but in the end we survived our 31st season of rugby as a team still intact and still ready for another crack

Righto bitches, it's on again.

Keith to Kokatahi 2009. Friday, 4th September to Sunday 6th September.

As usual, we'll be leaving from the Bush Inn with Keasty's blessing at midday on the Friday with several things in tow.
Namely: 1) $80 for accomodation costs ($40 per night) 2) Tour shirt ($20) 3) two dozens cans (not bottles) for drinking on the way over and the way back and 4) a fucking great attitude with plenty of room for beer and enough fines against your fellow Keiths to send John Key into bankruptcy.

Trouty will be distributing further information if anything changes.

And yes, that is Token in the pic.
